I provide counseling to adults with a variety of issues and concerns, including:
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Relationship struggles
  • Phase-of-life issues
  • Problem solving and crisis intervention
  • Improving coping skills
In addition to working from a self-regulation perspective, I also use traditional counseling. I like to focus on cognitive behavioral strategies, helping clients to develop insight and be proactive. Family system issues are also addressed when appropriate.  Assisting one’s insight and understanding of how and why issues have developed is important, however, learning ways to change these issues and prevent relapse is the goal of counseling.
